BD Wong is an American stage actor and entertainer who has been making forays into film and television since the mid Eighties. Whilst his stage appearances are admired by the more discerning but also more limited theatre-going audiences of New York, his television work in Oz and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit has reached a far wider global audience.

BD Wong will be joining Rachel Dratch, Susie Essman, Judy Gold, Richard Kind and Sherri Shepherd for the final edition of Celebrity Autobiography in Their Own Words, to play at 7:30pm on Monday, May 12 at the Triad Theatre, 158 West 72nd Street, NYC.

Herringbone Rescheduled for October-September run
The show will now open at Berlind Theatre of the McCarter Theatre Center for the Performing Arts in Princeton, from September 5–October 12, 2008.

Symphony Space Reading

2008 Asian Excellence Awards
BD Wong will be attending this years Asian Excellence Awards. The Asian Excellence Awards honour the outstanding achievements of Asians and Asian Americans in film, television, music, and the performing arts, and are broadcast nationally in the US on the E! Entertainment channel on May 1st, 2008.
Wong has been nominated in the OUTSTANDING TELEVISION ACTOR category for his work on Law and Order SVU. Other nominees include Naveen Andrews, Daniel Dae Kim and Masi Oka. The awards will be held on April 23, at the Royce Hall, UCLA

HERRINGBONE opens in Williamswown
BD Wong has started his ten day run in the one man show Herringbone, the opening production of the 2007 Williamstown Theatre Festival.
BDW is backed by an award winning team, including William Ivey for costume design, and Dance Choreographer Darren Lee.
Herringbone runs from June 14 to June 24 2007.

Oz: The Complete Sixth Season
BD Wong filming in China
BD Wong has been cast to play in a new mini-series for Hallmark, to be recorded on location in China.
The Discovery of the World is an epic four hour costume drama about the life of Marco Polo. Filming is set to start on June 14, the result of which being most of his scheduled public appearances for June and July have had to be cancelled.
The series will be filmed at the Hengdian World Studios in Zhengjian province, and on location in China and Mongolia.
