BD
Wong on the Lecture Circuit ...
BD
Wong found out early that the life of an actor is full of
all kinds of rejection, but perhaps he didn't expect to
encounter racism, both unknowing and blatant. Roles he
thought well within his abilities were unthinkingly barred
to him by blinkered casting directors, whilst white actors
were still free to wear 'yellowface'. This inequality led
to a period of self-hatred, before a gradual dawning
awareness came to him that things had to change ...
BD relates his experiences and views in a series of
lectures, which he has delivered to audiences across the
country.
